State Farm is committed to upholding our policyholders' interests and ensuring that claims are handled fairly. Firstly, it's important to note that State Farm has been a trusted presence in California since 1928. While some changes have occurred in California, less than 2%, were affected, and we continue to serve over 1 million homes in the state, including high-risk areas. Additionally, our commitment to our customers remains unwavering. We are proud to have over 2,000 licensed agents in California who provide excellent service and support every day. Customer Care Sites are currently operational and assisting customers. As of January 17th, we have received over 8,300 claims and we've already put well over $50 million dollars back into customers’ hands. Regarding our donation efforts State Farm is making a $2 million commitment to support relief efforts in the areas most impacted by the California wildfires. These funds will provide support for critical needs including shelter, food pantry supplies and other resources to help communities recover. Organizations receiving the funding include the American Red Cross, Feeding America, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and Hollywood Food Coalition. This recent article shares ways you can help support relief efforts in California. It's also worth mentioning that State Farm is not a publicly traded company, which allows us to prioritize the needs of our customers over the demands of shareholders.
